Fresh Snow, Brailsford

On this clear blue winter’s day, as I walked across the snow covered fields near Brailsford, almost everything had been transformed into a paintable subject. This gateway in the hedge presented a chance to use some impasto paint to contrast the thick sunlit snow against the blue shadows.
